11.  The 70 sevens--Los 70 sietes

J.-11  The 70 sevens—Los setenta sietes

a.  This is the only part of Bible chronology that is based on a record of prophecy.  Some people reject the idea that Bible chronology can include prophecy.  After reading the whole Bible several times, one can see right away that the last chronological segment had to be prophetical because Christ had not yet come in the flesh and died on the cross.  The crucifixion is the end of Bible chronology.

a.  Ésta es la única parte de la cronología bíblica que se basa en un registro de la profecía.  Algunas personas rechazan la idea de que la cronología bíblica pueda incluir profecía.  Después de leer toda la Biblia varias veces, se puede ver de inmediato que el último segmento cronológico tuvo que ser profético, porque Cristo todavía no había venido en carne, para morir en la cruz.  La crucifixión es el final de la cronología bíblica.


b.  The principal relevant Bible references are Isaiah 44:26-28, Daniel 9:24-27, 2 Chronicles 36:22-23 and Ezra 1:1-4.  There are many others, but these are the most important.

c.  Some people have recently (beginning about 1830 AD) said that the laying of the foundation of the temple was the only aspect of the decree of Cyrus, never considering that the overall projects of Cyrus were prophesied by Isaiah about two hundred (200) years earlier and the scope of the decree of Cyrus would be several restoration projects like homebuilding in surrounding cities (Isaiah 44:26) as well as several projects within Jerusalem including rebuilding houses, streets, plazas, towers, walls, gates, and, of course, the temple which was the principal restoration project and needed special mention in order to show their enemies that the returning exiles had documentation to back up their restorations.  A prominent edict about the temple would serve to cover everything else.  It can be safely said that an edict to restore the temple was overall permission to restore anything else of lesser importance.

c.  Algunas personas recientemente (a partir de 1830 DC), dicen que la colocación de los cimientos del templo era el único aspecto del decreto de Ciro, nunca considerando que los proyectos generales de Ciro fueron profetizados por Isaías unos doscientos (200) años antes y al alcance del decreto de Ciro estarían varios proyectos de restauración como la construcción de viviendas en ciudades cercanas (Isaías 44.26), así como varios proyectos en Jerusalén, incluyendo la reconstrucción de casas, calles, plazas, torres, murallas, puertas, y, por supuesto, el templo que era el principal proyecto de restauración y necesitaba una mención especial a fin de mostrar a sus enemigos que los exiliados que regresaban tenían documentación para respaldar sus restauraciones.  Un edicto prominente sobre el templo serviría para cubrir todo lo demás.  Se puede decir con seguridad que un edicto para restaurar el templo era el permiso general de restaurar cualquier otra cosa de menor importancia.



d.  Nevertheless these latter day opponents to traditional Bible chronology have tried to make the temple the sole project of Cyrus and the reconstruction of the walls the sole project of Artaxerxes who came later.  And so the beginning of the 70 sevens of Daniel had been postponed (probably by an attempt to reconcile the Bible with secular history) by the learned theologians failing to come to grips with the idea that temple work and city work cannot be considered as separate projects but all city reconstruction must necessarily be comprised of various sub-projects like temple, walls, towers, gates, houses, streets, plazas, etc.

d.  Sin embargo, estos opositores de los últimos días a la cronología bíblica tradicional han tratado de hacer del templo el único proyecto de Ciro y la reconstrucción de las paredes el único proyecto de Artajerjes quien vino después.  Y así el comienzo de los 70 sietes de Daniel se había aplazado (probablemente por un intento de reconciliar La Biblia con la historia secular) por los doctos teólogos quienes no llegaron a familiarizarse con la idea de que la obra del templo y el trabajo de la ciudad no se pueden considerar como proyectos separados pero toda la reconstrucción de la ciudad necesariamente debe estar compuesta por varios sub-proyectos como el templo, las paredes, torres, puertas, casas, calles, plazas, etc.


e.  It is an invalid concept to think that City reconstruction and Temple reconstruction are two separate entities when, in fact, the Temple reconstruction is part of the overall City reconstruction.  Does not anyone understand that for the City to be reconstructed the very things in the City have to be reconstructed as well?  This is not rocket science but just plain common sense.
 
e.  Es un concepto inválido pensar que la reconstrucción de la ciudad y la reconstrucción del templo son dos entidades distintas, cuando en realidad, la reconstrucción del templo es parte de la reconstrucción general de la ciudad.  ¿No entiende nadie, que para que la ciudad se reconstruya las mismas cosas en la ciudad tiene que ser reconstruidas así? esto no es ciencia de cohetes, sino simplemente sentido común.


f.  So when we read in Daniel 9:25 from the “going forth of the order to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince will be 7 x 7 and 62 x 7...”, i.e., 69 sevens, we should immediately think about this span of time as going from the decree of Cyrus (which is very prominent in both 2 Chronicles and Ezra) to the beginning of Christ’s ministry, 483 years, which was followed by Christ’s ministry which lasted 3½ years, the end of which marks the time that Christ was “cut off” in the middle of the last seven, to end corruption, to put an end to sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, which took place after the 62 sevens wherein the very same Messiah was cut off.

f.  Así que cuando leemos en Daniel 9.25 que "desde la salida de la orden para restaurar y edificar a Jerusalén hasta el Mesías Príncipe, habrá (siete sietes, 7 x 7) , y sesenta y dos semanas (62 x 7 )…¨  esto es, sesenta y nueve sietes (69 x 7), inmediatamente debemos pensar que este de tiempo que va desde el decreto de Ciro (que es muy importante tanto en 2 Crónicas y Esdras) hasta el inicio del ministerio de Cristo, 483 años, que fue seguido por el ministerio de Cristo, que duró tres años y medio, el fin que marca el momento en que Cristo fue "cortado" en medio de los últimos siete años, para poner fin a la corrupción, para poner fin al pecado, para expiar la iniquidad, para traer la justicia eterna, que tuvo lugar después de los 62 sietes en la que el mismo Mesías fue cortado.


g.  And after all these things had come to pass we should by now be able to put the prophecy together as history, but instead of understanding all this, we seem to be moving backwards instead of forwards in our understanding and by raising all kinds of irrelevant questions over the second coming of Christ which should never arise by anyone with an elementary level of math skill to know that 7 x 70 cannot be broken up into chunks with a supposed parenthetic gap, such thing never allowed by conventional mathematical principles.
 
g. Y después de todas estas cosas ya debemos de ser capaces de poner la profecía junto como la historia, pero en lugar de entender todo esto, parece que estamos retrocediendo en lugar de ir hacia adelante en nuestra comprensión y en el aumento de todo tipo de preguntas irrelevantes sobre la segunda venida de Cristo, que nunca deben surgir de cualquier persona con un nivel elemental de conocimientos de matemáticas para saber que 7 x 70 no se puede dividir en trozos con una supuesta brecha de paréntesis, tal cosa no es permitida por los principios matemáticos convencionales.
 

h.  Those who hold to a futurist idea of Daniel’s 70th seven are not only hijacking Bible history, but they are hijacking the most prominent part of Bible history, namely the crucifixion, and by implication, the very resurrection of Christ!

h. Aquellos que se aferran a una idea futurista del septuagésimo siete de Daniel no solo están secuestrando una parte de la historia bíblica, sino que están secuestrando la parte más prominente de la historia bíblica, a saber, la crucifixión, y por implicación, ¡la resurrección de Cristo!
