g.  In 2006 he had bypass surgery and a mild stroke a year later.  This gave him enough time to pursue his main lifetime hobby of Bible chronology—which is presently at an impasse with an on going attempt to publish his books on Bible Chronology.  This has brought about the construction of this web site. He has three unpublished books:

h.  The unpublished books of the author are:

           1.
Christ is coming to Quetzaltenango, a Guatemalan experience, 2008, 93 pages, a bilingual travelogue in two columns which comprise 26 weekly letters written in English and translated into Spanish by the author to family and friends in the US as the author studied Spanish for 6 months from 6 October 2007 to 1 April 2008 in one of the many good Spanish language schools in Guatemala.  This was a special exercise undertaken to improve the author’s understanding of Spanish and it included corrections by three teachers.

2.  Bible-only approach to Bible chronology, 2009, 71 pages, a short Bible commentary with extensive and colorful chronological charts, and

           3.  Fishers of Men, 3 January 2010, 201 pages, a novel with a fictional setting illustrating a chronological sea voyage from Sydney, Australia, via the Suez Canal to Invergordan, Scotland, in the large fishing boat, the Southern Star, captained by Thorvold Olsen.  The fictional setting is used as a means to teach the concepts of Bible chronology by including discussions of the  author (Hans Albertsen), who accompanied his old friend, Thorvold (of 50 years acquaintance) on this long trip, and Hans had discussions with other members and one other passenger, Dr. Quo, mainly about the importance chronology as it pertains to verifying the events of the story.

Introducing the subject of Bible chronology

About this Web site—

i.  The truth is that the publication of his books is really not necessary because we already have the necessary information in the Bible. What is lacking is our comprehension that the Bible contains a complete chronology.  It is necessary for people to understand this point since the majority of Bible-teaching institutions have already discounted Bible chronology as incomplete and practically useless thereby discrediting the historical parts.

j.  What no one seems to understand is that the Bible is the word of God.  If the word of God presents itself with chronological details, then obviously these details are given to document the historical facts in the Bible and not just to take up space—the final fact of Bible history being the resurrection of Christ.  If the chronology is discounted, then it is just another downhill step towards also disbelieving that the history in the Bible is true as well. Bible chronology documents the accompanying history, and if the chronology is practically worthless, then what about the history?

k.  Is God so inept that He cannot provide an infallible chronology to go along with His infallible history?  Nobody seems to catch on that the chronology provides the certification and documentation that the history is true.  Without the provided chronology what proof is left to support the idea that the history is true?   Some pious people say, “If God said it then that settles it!”  But, did not God say something about chronology?  Why not use this source?  What makes more sense?  Back up a fact with a date when it happened?  Or back up a fact with the fact that the fact is printed on the paper?  When you nail down the when questions you can nail down many other things like the relationship to other events, the who?, where? and how? questions also come into better focus.

l.  Well, anyway, this is what this web site is all about, i.e. Bible chronology.  The other stuff about the author’s family is just
to give you enough history about the author to believe that he is a real person with real concerns that ultimately concern you personally and not just a writer of fiction for your occasional entertainment.

m.  Now Paul tries to keep up with his yard, read books, especially the Bible, write, and continues studying Bible chronology.  He is awaiting the final regeneration (Matthew 19:28), and he sincerely hopes that many others are like-minded in pursuing the only hope we have in this life and the next by resorting diligently to the Lord Jesus Christ whose “yoke is easy, and…burden is light.”  (Matthew 11:30)

n.  ”…few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”  (Genesis 47:9)

o.  ”Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace…”  (Luke 2:29ff.)
