2.  The Flood

a.  There seem to be more intentional chronological details packed into the one-year Flood account than into any other space of time except possibly the six-day Creation account and the Crucifixion account which is described in units of hours.

b.  There are not only the events of the Flood described in months and days, but the Flood is placed in the context of the chronogenealogies of Genesis 5 and 11 from Creation, 1656 years before the Flood, and the birth of Abram, 352 years after the Flood--all this coming to an overall total of 2008 years.

c.  Additionally, there is a slightly broader Shem connection which (in addition to the Flood itself) ties Shem and Noah as the real link between the two chronogenealogies:

1.  Noah was 502 when Shem was born (Compare Genesis 5:32 with Genesis 11:10),

2.  Shem was 100 when Arpachshad was born two years after the Flood, and

3.  Arpachshad probably was not Shem’s firstborn.  (See table above which allows time
for one birth before Shem and also see Genesis 10:22—Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad,
Lud, and Aram the sons of Shem.)

d.  All in all, we have enough intentional chronology here to satisfy anyone of the historicity of these fully historical Bible accounts, and the charges by evangelical, conservative, fundamental Christians who intentionally dispute the authenticity of this chronological Bible information, although piously attempting to maintain their position of orthodoxy in the Christian community, really are blaspheming traitors, guilty of the worst treason and need to have this accusation laid squarely in front of them.
